And the grand prize winner is....

EL!!!!!!!!!! He was the envy of all with his vienna sausages. Oh, but don't be fooled, there were many more great prizes had by all. I would post more pics of all the great treasures, but apparently blogspot.com is only accepting vienna sausage pictures at the moment and giving error messages to all others. Thanks Moon and Rachel for a fun game of B -I -N - G - O. Great memories and new friends were made this weekend at the Beachland Lodge at Lake Whitney. I personally am not known as a camper, but it was really fun and perhaps should become an annual event. We could call it the Life Pants retreat and whoever was boasting about patenting "life pants" has one year to get on it and have the creation ready for next year. If you have no idea what life pants are, I'm offering a Bloggie giveaway to the first person to guess correctly. If you were on the trip, you don't get to guess!!! I know, so not fair. :(

We spent this weekend at the lake with Justin's lifelong friend Michael, his fiance Rachel, his entire family, and Rachel's family. It was so great to meet Rachel and her family. We had lots of fun with everybody. Courtney had a blast playing with all the kids. She's already ready for the next trip to the lake. Thank you Tammy for coordinating it all and inviting us to come along. :)

Surf's Up!

My cousin DJ was the skimboard king this past weekend at our family reunion. I didn't take my camera out to the sand much, but I did get these pictures. I think he was also the fishing king...not only did he go offshore and bay fishing, but he also caught a cool looking fish in the tide while we were all playing on the beach Saturday.
We all had lots of fun. Courtney "surfed" with her Dora surfboard and I sucessfully burned the heck out of my stomach. Lots of sandcastles were built and children were buried in the sand. We discovered a new place to go out that has a really great live band (thanks Drew & Todd!). If you are ever on the island and are craving live music, Pelican West is the place!
Justin ended up staying in the condo most of the trip because Garrett came down with strep the first night we were there. 20 month old + strep + sleeping arrangements that he is not used to = a vacation full of no sleep for anybody....well, except for Courtney, she sleeps through anything, and I do mean anything. He is feeling better now though. He slept all the way through the night last night! YAY!!
I will post more pics when I get them off of my other camera. :)

Check this out...

Justin got me a new lens for my camera and I LOVE it! (big brownie points xoxo) Right after I opened it, I stepped outside to try it out and there was a baby bluejay in our bushes just waiting for me to take his picture. After he saw me he started calling for his mama. I normally don't do alot of nature shots, but I couldn't pass this one up!
Oh, and for all of the camera buffs that are on the edge of their seats wanting to know what lens I got, it is a Canon 55-250 IS. Yes, he even got me the IS!!! :)

Our silly kiddos....

Just a few little stories....

The other night as I was laying with Courtney as she falls asleep she says and she always says, "Mommy, you're the best Mommy in the whole world" .....makes my heart melt every time....but then directly after that "and Mommy, you buy the best popsicles." Goofy kid.

Today we went to get ice cream. I always get Garrett a small scoop of vanilla in a cup and I feed it to him. (the ONLY thing that he will let me feed him....he has to do everything else himself) Well, today as I'm ordering and telling the girl, "one small vanilla scoop in a cup please, " then he says "no, CHOCOLATE!!!!!" This kid cracks me up. He definitely let me know that I had been getting the flavor all wrong on previous trips.
