He's Such A Girl

Garrett is very particular about what he wears. Especially with footwear, but it does carry over to other things. He has to pick his attire out and there is just no getting around it. (and no telling what he'll look like) This just cracks me up because Courtney has always wanted to match and wants me to pick everything out for her.

Well, maybe she's rubbing off on her little brother.

He matched so cutely today.

I can't say she's ever gone so far as to match her underwear.

It was just too stinkin' cute not to share.

AND....we had an entire day accident free! YAY!

One Life... an Amazing Read

I guess it's no secret that I enjoy blogging. I really don't spend that much time on the computer these days, but there are a few blogs besides the ones I list on mine that I like to check every once in a while.

I guess what I'm talking about started when I found Big Mama's blog. She's an Aggie and lives in Texas and she is funny. What more could you want, really? Well, she also has increasingly fueled my fire to want to experience missions. I loved reading about her trip to the Dominican through Compassion ministries and now her blog has lead me to read about those that are now on a mission trip through Compassion in India.

Now, for the reason for this post. Here is a entry from Pete's blog...found it through Brandi & Boys (he's her husband) and I also shared her YUMMY chicken pot pie recipe with you guys a while back. (soooo yummy, you gotta try it)

Anyway, if you aren't moved by his post about Mother Teresa then you need to get your pulse checked. It may be my favorite blog post I've ever read to date. What an amazing experience they are having on their mission trip in India. WOW. That's all I can say.

Broaden your horizons and check out what they are doing in India and around the world. We can't all be Mother Teresa, but we can try. One life can make a difference.

XOXO

A Sweet Day

Disclaimer: Both children refused to wear the appropriate footwear that I had picked out for today.

When they named the place Sweet Berry Farm, the name was no accident. The kids and I headed out today on a kind of spurofthemoment trip to Marble Falls to check out these strawberries that we'd heard alot about. I will confirm that they are the sweetest strawberries ever. Actually, the strawberry lemonade was worth the drive itself.

The kids cracked me up. They were SERIOUS about this strawberry pickin' business.

I was apprehensive that the drive would not be worth it and there wouldn't be enough strawberries to make it worth it, etc. They are closed on Wednesdays and every weekend from here until mid-July is booked for us...so even though Courtney had to skip school today we loaded up. We'll do it again next year for sure and we'll invite along anyone that wants to come. I had to check it out in person before I'd recommend loading up your kiddos and gas money, but I'll put my stamp of approval on it now. Just make sure that you check out the website....they update it and tell you if there will be any ripe berries or not to make sure that you don't waste a trip over there. Oh, and make sure you get a lemonade!

I'm waaaay behind on blogging...we've been busy, busy. I'll try to get some Easter pictures up soon!

Oh, and if you want to check out all the pics from today you can go to my photo site.

Mama Tried

"No-one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried.
Mama tried to raise me better, but her pleading, I denied.
That leaves only me to blame 'cos Mama tried."

-Thank You Merle Haggard for the perfect words

There were some decent ones, but they were few and far between.

Strawberry Farmer

Here's our little strawberry farmer. She was so excited to plant these. I never thought that we would get such a nice juicy strawberry from this plant...and there are more to come! I just expected some little unsweet ones that we would pretend to be excited about, but that is not the case. We should have planted more!
